Here is what to expect, start to finish.
A crown covers a tooth that is cracked, worn down, or weakened by a large filling, so it can keep doing its job.
We numb the area first. You will feel pressure, but you should not feel pain.
We remove a thin layer of the tooth so the crown has room to fit.
A quick digital scan or impression captures the exact shape of your tooth and your bite.
A temporary crown covers the tooth while your permanent one is made. Some offices can make it the same day.
Your permanent crown is checked for fit, bite, and color before it is bonded in place.
Treat it like any other tooth.
Your dental team is happy to walk you through every step before, during, and after your visit.
