What the video covers
- Here's what to expect when you get a full denture.
- When all the teeth in your upper or lower jaw are missing, a full denture replaces the whole arch, so you can eat, speak, and smile with confidence.
- Replacing missing teeth matters. Without them, chewing is harder, speech can change, and your face loses some of its natural support.
- First, we take careful impressions and measurements of your gums and your bite, so your denture is made to fit you.
- Next, you'll try in a test version, so we can check the look, the fit, and your bite before the final denture is made.
- Your finished denture has natural-looking teeth on a gum-colored base, shaped to rest snugly on your gums.
- It may feel a little bulky at first. Start with soft foods, cut food into small pieces, and practice speaking. Most people adjust within a few weeks.
- Take it out and rinse it after meals, brush it every day, and soak it overnight. And keep up with your regular checkups, so we can make sure it still fits well.
- If you have any questions along the way, just ask. Your dental team is always happy to help.
